Meet Bob


Bob is a husband, father of four, and conservative Christian. He was born and raised in Loma on a small farm, where his family was supported by the oil and gas industry.

After graduation Bob joined the Lower Valley Fire Protection District as a volunteer firefighter.  Bob served as a Firefighter, EMT-Intermediate, Fire Investigator and fought forest fires in California, Oregon, Tennessee and North and South Carolina.
After becoming the district’s first full-time employee as Captain, Bob was eventually selected as Fire Chief becoming the youngest full-time Fire Chief in Colorado.

Upon reaching the age of 21, Bob started his 32 year career in law enforcement.
Bob graduated the 1989-90 Law Enforcement Academy and became a Mesa County Reserve Deputy Sheriff, while still working full-time as Fire Chief.  Bob left the fire district after eight years and continued with the Sheriff’s Department as Commander of the Reserve Unit.
After serving the Sheriff for fourteen years, Bob joined the Palisade Police Department where he served eight years and left with the rank of Sergeant. Bob was then employed by the Marshal’s Department in De Beque where he currently serves as Chief. 

Bob has been privileged to attend extensive training, including the FBI Regional Command School, FBI Executive Leadership Command Institute, the County Sheriff’s Association Supervisory Institute and Command School, among others.

Bob has been active in the community.  Bob and his wife Jennifer were involved in Mesa County’s Foster Care and Food Bank until they adopted themselves out of the foster care program.

Bob was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for youth in Mesa County.

Bob served on community service boards.  From the governor appointed Justice Assistance Grant Board for law enforcement to the community boards like the JAG’s Christian homeschool athletic program.

Bob has also been active as a Christian, serving in the capacities of Deacon/Elder and conducts weekly church services for a local assisted living center.

As Bob's history shows, he is a long standing member of the community with the right leadership skills and dedication to serve the citizens of Mesa County with continued intergerty, and transparency.
